I dk. There hasn't been much of a response from @OVTune. I am pretty sure it is causing a maf sensor and idle code for me though.

I bought a weld-in 5/8” aluminum barb to weld into the Y-billet intake elbow. For people that want a quick weld-less solution, buy this and place it at the 3.25” silicone coupler between the airbox and Y-pipe but if there isn’t enough room between the hard pipes the other choice would be to place it at the 2.5” 45° silicone coupler also circled in red ⭕️.

The better design tap is the Creations Motorsports one, however, it’s from England so expect some lead time.

I’ve looked into these but the bung is just too small at 1/8” and they don’t offer anything larger. I was able to find adapters to make it work with a 5/8” barb, but that’s too many pieces of a work-around for my liking.

Good find. Just ordered one. Would rather do this than the weld in.

Nice find. Been looking everywhere for something like this. England of course.

Way easier for the guys sticking to Mat's setup.

I get that this is a fun thing to figure out. I'm all for creative solutions, but where's the OEM?

Did you use a BSPT to BSPT oil sensor fitting or the supplied NPT fitting? Teflon tape for sealant?

The one supplied is just like the one I ended up installing. Bspt thread port is the center tap and the end is npt. I bought swivel elbows for the 4an tee. Worked out very nicely. Everything threaded they way it should. No excessive taping. 3 wraps on everything and it all sealed correctly.

Yep the bolts are tight. So i needed motor mounts to get past the wastegate issue. Now this with the oil filler neck.

I think I can figure out some kind of solution but will mean a lot of work and have to fill the oil up another way

I’m really starting to think that there must be some serious variation in the trucks then.. mine is a 2018 off road and it making me want to burn it to the ground.

The only difference between my truck and Mat's is transmission and the shop doing my install has come across plenty of "variation". Oil fill neck, the wheel well near the shock tower so that the actuators don't rub, etc

On the valve cover, on my truck I have it with a catch can and fresh air breather,
The metered air at idle is accounted for via throttle vs Maf flow compensation at idle /light cruise.
It can also be tapped into the intake.

Regarding drivers side turbos getting close to the filler necks, it will be close but shouldn't totally obstruct it (see the image I posted)

If the bottom bolts of the manifold aren't tight and sealed to the head it can make the turbo move quite a bit.

The image on my truck is the exact same turbo exact same manifold everyone got.

I'm sure there is some variation between trucks but I don't see how there could be THAT much to move the turbo over more than an inch, unless maybe you have blown out motor mounts or something.

I'm trying to think how else it could be that far off.
Can you guys take pics at various angles?

And is it powermax or base? That's the only thing that is different between all the parts

One thing I do think I will do is get a brand new truck to install on when the instructions are redone.

Just looked and both powermax and base outlets are in near identical positions just like previously tested.

So if your truck, with manifold fully tightened, no gap ( check looking from the bottom up) and the turbo is obstructed, please send me your complete truck details, year, trim etc

I have the base kit and when I last stopped by the shop and saw the turbos in, mine looked just like this

do you already have the downpipe on?
if not can you take a pic of the back of the turbo pointed down towards the manifold.

because it's at least half an inch too far away from the fuse box
