@OVTune could you clarify one more quick thing for me? This is the screenshot of the pump upgrade Tea-coma bought. Does this include the controller or do I need to pick one up from you?

Definitely all inclusive. The pump upgrade requires the controller

I’ll end up putting some type of small review out eventually, but I’m not ready to do so right now. Working through a couple things, and also have been traveling some lately so that’s getting in the way and slowing down the process. Finally getting my downpipe addressed on Wednesday, putting my boost gauge in sometime this week, also got a new tune today based on logging, so looking forward to trying that out. It’s all coming together.

I did get a pre-turbo dyno done and plan on getting the post-turbo done as well, will post both when completed. The owner at URD did my pre, and will be doing my post, so it’ll be interesting to hear his opinion of the turbos in comparison to his supercharger.

It’s slow going, but the pains of being #4 ever turboed 3rd gen are quickly diminishing, I’ve got confidence in the turbos and see light at the end of the tunnel. OV has been extremely responsive to me during tuning.

    Edit:
Here’s my pre if that interests anyone...

I understand you still want to hear it from him, but here’s a post that will answer your question. Option C will come with a controller to replace the one you have.

I do not have an answer for this right now, but I don't see how it would be all that fair to give a price cut. This is the fault of toyota having an ever expanding and evolving fuel pump problem.

However I am willing to offer something for folks who are willing to do an exchange service. Send us yours, we send you back a modified one. Because the cases aren't cheap.

A solid answer on this will be after I get the remaining kits out.

Not at all against paying full price, and I understand your explanation. Just figured it was worth asking.

it's going to be the only way.

Since there are so many maggy guys ready to buy pump kits right now.
Really right now I'm just waiting until we get the remaining kits out, for this paperwork to finish, for us to finish this move, and we can finally move things quicker, more in-stock status, etc.

Originally the plan was to make these pump kits only for our TT customers who *wanted* them. However with toyotas limitless recall, and hundreds of SCs out there with potential grenades in their gas tank, we are making some changes to that. More details will be out about that in time. Even with the recall performed you aren't getting around the stock pumps limits as is.

Info about it will be on our forum forum.vftuner.com

when it is back in stock, the only will be full replacement with optional core charge. Just to cut down on work, customization, lead times, etc. It's so much easier when it's simply plug and play.

@OVTune you mentioned back in mid Nov that my kit was due to be picked by DHL on a Friday for shipment. Has it indeed been shipped or is it still part of the 9 kits remaining. If so it’s fine, I just need to know to expect it or not..as I’ve been on the look out for it, just like to know if I’m wasting my energy peeking at every delivery truck coming by.

Called the shop and honestly eventually lost my cool and started cussing out the supervisor who's sorta taken over project management for the install as best I can tell.

Kept ignoring my question about when the truck would finally be fucking done, instead answering with you can come down and see the truck and we'll show you where we're at and what needs to be done. I don't necessarily need to see it, you can tell me over the phone, tell me when it'll be done. Can't give me a deadline for when it'll be done, although that's probably also because I'm sick of fucking missed deadlines. Insisting that nearly the whole kit needed customization. Turns out they haven't tried to call @OVTune because I apparently didn't provide the phone number even though I absolutely did, right in the shop's own Messenger chat where I'd told them it was before. For what it's worth, they say they emailed the zendesk and haven't gotten a reply. Idk if that's true or not, who fucking knows at this point.

On Friday I'd been told that one pipe remained, that was it. The one across the front connecting the snails. When I asked why one pipe being reshaped/cut and welded required nearly 20 hours of work, I got told it wasn't 20 hours. So I didn't get anything but silence while I ripped him a new one for it clearly taking nearly 20 since there was nearly the full day on Friday, all of Saturday that they're open, and then the full day today and that I'd think if the fucking truck had been in my shop for over 9 weeks that I might be interested in working on it non stop to get it out of there, so why was one damn pipe taking over 19-20 hours to install. Smh.

Eventually told them to tell me if the shop cannot handle the install so that I can take the truck elsewhere. "If you'd like to do that sir, you can, but we are working on it and we will not install anything incorrectly." No, I said tell me if you cannot handle it, that's what I'm asking. Got nowhere obviously.

Really, I just lost my cool. Although in hindsight I think I've been extremely patient for more than long enough. Sorry for the venting. Kinda got on a roll once I start typing. Fucking infuriating.
