    I have this on one of my trucks and the only way I could get it to not leak was by using Teflon tape on the threads, not ideal but it gets the job done. Both holes seemed to have the same thread pattern.

    This is my 0-60 before any tuning. Might be able to improve just learning how to mess with this. Had to let off before a 1/4 due to traffic otherwise I’d post that up. Interested to see what I get with tune and then with turbos. Trying to record stats pre turbo for comparisons.

    The compressor section can be rotated or "clocked" relative to the turbine section.

    Most Toyota's have BSPT threads on the oil sensor. I would assume the oil line Tee is NPT. I can't confirm because I haven't received the kit, but maybe someone on here can check?

    These two threads are different. Not by a lot, but enough that it'll cause a leak. Both are tapered, but NPT is 60 degrees, while BSPT is 55 degrees.

    Even if you use sealant, it'll still be difficult to get a seal between the two threads when the line is pressurized. This is because you think the threads are seating, but they are actually binding up before it gets in far enough.

    Right, the product claims to have one of each. To me it felt like the better fit was opposite what was described in the image of the product. No leaks so far, 2 months later.

    yeah I haven't put oil through yet and currently have the one supplied by Mat. The one in the link is BSPT. I'm using thread sealer on what I have now and will tackle it if it becomes a problem.

    I thought one of the guys just switched the sensor with the oil line and that fixed it?

    i saw that too and I may try that before I even start sending oil through it just as a preventative. I like the way that orients everything as well.

    You should be able to compare the Tee and the Sensor threads (one behind the other) to see if the thread angle is the same or not (same direction). If they are different, thread each carefully into each hole until light resistance is met. Whichever goes in further (probably only a thread or two), then you know that is the one that matches. Do it with both holes to see if they are both the same as well.

    Both will get tension as they go in, but the wrong thread will bind slightly before the threads start to stretch naturally. Angled threads actually use tension to stretch the threads until they seal. Keep in mind also that you shouldn't use much thread sealant. Just put a small dab of liquid sealer on the first 2 threads.

    Too much sealant can also interfere with the tensioning and allow leaks. Regardless, sealant is required for angled threads.

    Obviously I have a 2nd Gen. However, this is what I used. Expensive, absolutely. It performs its simple job without flaw though.

    I recently performed the TSB update with my ECU from 0470 to 0471 (I was under the impression the TT kit required the update).

    Do I need more VF Tuner credits since I originally registered using ECU 0470 and not 0471?

    My TT kit should be ready next week at a local shop so its important that I get VF Tuner registered to 0471 ASAP. My zen desk ID# 222272.
