Do you mean the silicone couplers that connect to the compressor housing Pressure side (not intake) ?

 

I did this on my 22re with a tube, bottle and vape.

I put the tube on vacuum line, sealed off the intake, filled the bottle with vapor and pressurized the manifold with my air compressor

Ended up finding the vacuum leak with no money invested, worked like a champ

 

You can just make a pressure tester for next to nothing. Get a schedule 40 pvc end cap (pressure rated) that fits inside the silicone coupler connected to your air box, tap it with an air hose fitting and a pressure gauge (not necessary but helpful), seal them with thread sealant, and clamp it into the silicone coupler with the coupler's t-bolt clamp. Pressurize your intake to 5-10 psi over your max boost pressure, and check for leaks.

You can get fancy with a smoke machine but you should be able to find any leaks by listening for hissing, pressure drops on your gauge, or wetting your fingers and feeling around all the couplers.

Just make sure the clamp is tight or you'll launch your end cap across the room.

 

I made one exactly like this for previous vehicles, very easy to make and will help you spot any leaks easily as you mentioned. I’ll take a pic when I pop in the garage at some point, incase anyone is interested.

 

Just to add, use a spray bottle with soap water and spray around all the couplers. You’ll see the area bubble up if there’s any leak.

 

If you spent ALL your money on armor, regearing, tires/wheels and the turbo kit... then you can Macgyver a sock, mineral oil, soldering iron, bicycle pump, pickle jar and bic pin into a smoke system.

@OVTune any update on expected shipping times? Labels were created 1/15 and I am still waiting on my tatrix cable that I ordered 8/4/20. Again the wait on turbo is whatever but can I PLEASE get this cable?

Any word on when the controllers for us original controller guys are shipping? I’m going to wait to install that before further dialing in the tune.

 

That boost gauge! Everything about it..... exactly what I need. Is that a custom job or do you have contact with someone who makes the mount? What model gauge is that?
