I’ll pass, but curious about how that connects to the air box though, and what coupling hooks in the turbo. It’s perfectly covered by your wire loom. It’s so much bigger.

So just a 3 or 3 1/4” coupling joins that?

the inside diameter of the cast is the outside diameter of the MAF housing. This way there is zero tapering turbulence for MAF calculations.

So it is a little bit bigger, not much. half an inch or less overall (side walls). The picture is skewed

Ah copy, so a 3 to 3-1/2” coupler joins the air box to that piece. There’s a 1-3/4” to ‘something’ coupler at the turbo I guess too.

When do we get the tunes then?

I know before you said that I wouldn't get it until my issue was resolved, and yet for a few days it was *temporarily* resolved and I was ignored. Not to mention as far as I'm aware it's not like I really need to retune when I get this new mess figured out, or I would like to think you would've replied to one of my many previous datalogs if something was going badly, so you have some customers here sitting in the dark wondering why we've been getting told for a few weeks that updated tunes will go out to us and they haven't.

If you're waiting on a datalog from me before you send me the updated tune, just as an example, that's fine and all, but I do need to know that that's your intent ahead of time.

I'm aware you're busy rolling out 1.3 as well and that it's behind schedule, but with 1.2.9.9.9 patching up the loopholes and backdoors as far as software abuse goes, it does allow breathing room to dedicate some small bit of time to the turbo kit customers who have been getting told they're getting an updated tune and that it's all done and ready.

It's all being done at the same time. On your truck specifically I messaged you that I would like to update it once all the exhaust leaks / issue you were having was completely fixed. As far as I know/have seen it's not yet.

I don't need a datalog I just need to know that you've fixed what needed to and confirmed it's good to go.
Maybe you messaged on here that it was and I didn't see it but last I recall it wasn't.

The new tune updates aren't really just an update it's a lot of stuff + a new patch + a ton of of shift maps (irrelevant for MT I know).

The reason it is taking a while is because I want it all *done* when I send these files. No more logging, revising, waiting, etc. You load the new map, you drive it, you don't worry about logging anymore.

Hopefully it helps everyone here understand.

The new tunes will be fully ready to release as soon as the cold start / cold drive patch is fully fleshed out. Which will not be long. The code, the patch itself, the table, etc is all finished. I'm just wrapping up the actual "tuned" values.

I wish I could do it all in one day, I've tried. But when you fake the ECT values on a hot engine the truck won't start. So I have to actually wait for a cold engine.

I never got a message or email stating that. You only replied to a post by @Turd Hawg saying that I would get the updated tune when I had fixed my issue.

I believed my issue to be fixed and posted both here and emailed you about it and received no response. It did turn out that my issue returned, yes, the truck is still down now, but not til a couple days later and you were active in the thread during that time of me temporarily not having issues.

Not trying to attack you Mat. But a lot of people are relying on you and have trucks/tunes that aren't as ironed out as mine is, I am very fortunate to only be working out hardware related struggles.

I will double check my emails in the morning.
I am currently aware of one person whom had misfiring (MT), he has been sent a new tune, have not heard back yet.
    And turn hawg, CELs /evap.
One other with a fuel pump issue.

Colorado truck is done other than cold start patch, new shift tuning.
California truck is done other than cold start patch, changing tire size. (After he installs his new exhaust)

I will double check my emails if there is any other but that all I am aware of. So if you guys are telling eachother or as skydvrs says everyone is telling him...please make sure to tell me or I won't know.

The issues specifically related ot MAF CEL is fixed on this new update.

I haven't spoken to skydvr or however it's spelled.

I talk fairly regularly with Hawg to compare notes regarding the kit, have been since right around when we pre-ordered, and jrygmie every now and then but he's not very active on here due to work I believe. Same story, talking about kit progress and how the trucks run and what issues we've had since the beginning :notsure:

My only issue, aside from predetonation on startup, cold running hesitation, and full throttle shifting limp mode, is some type of ‘very small’ intake leak, which I plan to take and get smoke testing done to resolve.

I’ve been putting off taking it in in anticipation of this new tune so that I don’t have to explain why the truck is pre detonating on startup. I had to explain it to the downpipe guys a couple/few months ago and don’t want to do that again. Here’s a video of my startup. Like OVs videos, it sucks, YouTube adds a ton of audio that doesn’t exist, but you can hear the predetonation on startup 3 or 4 times in this video. That shit makes me nervous, my current workaround is to start it up, and throw that bitch in drive before it has a chance to detonate. Seems to work I guess…

    https://youtube.com/shorts/5rJT7PhfZ60?feature=share

It only occurs in the first 15 seconds or so of starting, then it seems to go into a different ‘mode’ and calms down.

Ok he is the guy I sent the new tune too if he gone working that explains why I haven't heard back from him.

That isn't detonation. It sounds like it is running lean during cold start where ignition is retarded.

Cold start will sound choppy because ignition is retarded to heat the cats. It sounds worse on this because the cats aren't right off the bank.

The pops are it's lean. My truck doesn't do any popping on cold start. So I'd definitely do the smoke test.

The new tune makes cold start much better though. I can send your current tune with *just* that single part modded if you want (not cold drive patch) to test. Just if it helps.

Ok, I’ll schedule it tomorrow. I’m sure I have a leak somewhere due to codes. I’ll just have to talk to the guys there so they don’t freak out like the downpipe guys did. I almost couldn’t get them to work on it.
