Let me include that it *could* also be exhaust leak under high pressure, almost always from turbo outside to downpipe. But that really sounds more like a "squeal" than a howl.

Well I'll start with couplers and whip out the hairspray for good measure and go from there.

    @OVTune

Sent you a couple datalogs. Please review and advise based on my questions in the email.

I also see what you mean about the sound in boost. Kinda reminiscent of an angry supercharger whine.

I popped a CEL for system too lean, bank 1. Looking for confirmation via the datalogging that you believe it's related to the probable boost leak? Unless something in the logs tells you something else

Edit: thank you for the reply Mat

Here is how the intake pieces will go.
They are still the prototype pieces so yes they are uglier.

These are expected ** to have the first batch actually done in about 15 days.

I'm still hearing the same fuckin buzz at start up, when revving, etc. And I'm starting to think I was mistaking the sound being entirely an exhaust leak (which I had with the failed gasket), and thinking it's also the ticking from my high pressure fuel pump. Without a doubt louder than a few weeks ago...

    What does this mean?

I've tightened up damn near every connection on the intercooler couplers. Even found my driver side turbo hotside connection to be a little off. Not realistically enough to matter I'd think but nonetheless I attacked it and a bunch of other connections and it seemed to help a bit, but not much overall. Still have the whine under high rpm, full throttle/boost.

At idle and while revving, initial throttle bump to rev match, etc, I still have the sound that I've been clearly thinking was an exhaust leak (again, partially was one with the gasket) and all that's really left in that area on the passenger side is the HPFP...

Loud buzz/ticking, way louder than ever before. And this exact sound is what started this whole charade in the first place.

Just checked and I'm still not coming up listed for any recalls.

Could I be leaning out due to fp failure? But why the whine...?

Only intercooler couplers I didn't touch up just now are the ones that sit super low up front, I need to remove the skid plate to reach them and the wife was getting upset that I'm making us late to dinner plans lol but I doubt those are loose, I can see the indentations of the clamps into the silicone

My HPFP whines when I'm low on gas, my truck is not on the recall.

It will chirp like a loose belt at idle if I'm super low on gas (fuel light on).

Some buzzing and rumbling / crappy sounding exhaust on cold start is normal.

Start the truck, pop the hood and get close to the HPFP and see if it's coming from there.

Then idk. I still have a few silicone couplers left to check but I think I've exhausted that route. Who knows.

Connections on the boost controller look fine. They're T'd into the existing boost tap lines which is correct setup iirc, without referencing the diagram again.
