Same here, was gonna buy a Pro but I really needed a 6' bed and wanted a sunroof with JBL Audio. So I got the OR with premium/tech package with JBL. Didn't get the Sport cuz I wanted locking diff & crawl control. Couldn't be happier!

I went with Offroad and upgraded suspensions and everything else. Hoodscoop would be nice though. Could always order and have it painted

Black, White, and Calgary are the 2018 Colors...surprised this hasn't been covered yet.
My vote would be build an off-road. For me JBL and 6' Box were more important than Toyota "street cred" lol

Buying a truck because of the hood scoop, bed cover, and pro grill seems sketchy to me but it's your money. Congrats OP.

Trd Off road for sure. Odds are you’d eventually change suspension on the pro anyways if you wanted to lift it, save yourself some dough and get the off road!

One of them is useful, three of them aren't.

You also forgot the locking diff and better suspension, but hey, who is keeping track.

Like I said man its your truck Congrats, wasn't trying to dog you. I just got some Falken WildPeaks put on and really like them. Aggressive without bro'ing it up too bad. Noise is comparable to stock.

Alright, I'm not here to be the annoying TRD Pro fan boy (though I DO love the hell outta mine ) In fact, I voted for the OR build.

If you don't like one of the Pro colors, it's just not worth the $$$ to immediately paint it. You only buy the Pro because you want something "cool" out of the box. For someone like me, who needs a daily driver/ weekend warrior rig, it's awesome to have just been able to go to the dealership and buy something that looks great, that does everything I need it to do, and is completely plastic bumper looking like object to bumper, under full warrantee. But is it worth it purely as the sum of its parts? No way. I'll admit that.

I agree with whoever said they would pay MORE to NOT have a sunroof. I never understood buying a truck with a large, gaping hole intentionally cut in the roof that (most of the time) only serves to decrease headroom.

This is all academic though. You've overlooked the most critically important question: Automatic vs. Manual.

No, you don't need crawl control. I bet it hardly ever gets used. What really you need is a Manual Transmission! It will put a smile on your face every day.

You're welcome. I had the Pro Sema wheels but sold them to get the Method Standard wheels. I'm running KO2 tires. Suspension is completely stock Pro Fox suspension including my stock Off Road leafs. I was gonna change out to the Pro leafs too but I google the part numbers and it ended up being the same leafs from SR5 models. Not worth the extra cash IMO. ;-)

    just throwing it out there.
Numerous people have no confirmed. Although toyota says the pro is 1" higher it isn't. same height as a sport and off road.

you can get a sunroof with the off road with the tech package can you not?
leather is coming for the 2018s...so you could always wait a little.

If you're looking for strictly looks of the Pro then maybe the sport is better to start with.
But if you want actual capability and not just to be a bro, go with the off road and build it.

The Pro is 13k more here.
I've put less than that into my off road and its already a hell of a lot more capable than a Pro is. I have 2" lift with extended travel, better leafs and shocks all around, snorkel and much stronger skids and sliders.

    the crawl control is whatever.
I tried it a few times it seemed useless to me.
But the multi terrain select really helps off road.
