Paint chipping / cracking - how stop !?!

    So I live in Utah, typical weather conditions for WINTER we use salt... I get ready to wash my truck to realize on driver side paint is chipping away on the cabs corner, ITS ALREADY starting to rust :mad:
    IS THERE ANY CHEAP WAY TO FIX IT, STOP IT, DO ANYTHING?!?!?

    Gray wire, Some lights in the bed area, and some character marks throughout.
    Sand it all down until the paint does not flake and feather it to the metal and then hit it with primer after cleaning it.
