Just washed truck for the first time and just now noticed the bottom 6 inches of paint (sides) is rough - not smoothed. Anyone else have this?

Its gravel guard under the paint to prevent chips from rocks hitting the side on the road. Perfectly normal.

Good stuff. You don't know how good the gravel guard works unless you've had a vehicle without it...

Its not under the paint, It IS the paint. Its the way its applied, spatter paint technique and makes the paint more durable. You can do this to any vehicle or any other body parts with a splatter gun.

What is the big deal? I wash my truck every six months - even if it doesn't need it.
