    That looks sharp! What kind of paint did you use and how did you prepare the plastic cover? I like the clear air box lid, very cool!

    Tell me about the front air intake pipe you have running to your CAI box, custom modification? Does it make a difference?

    For the paint, I used stock colors, Radiant Red & Black Sand Pearl. I used spray cans. I sanded the pebble finish of the cover. I primed this and wet sanded until smooth. I then shot the red, wet sanded again. I masked off for the black. I shot the black, wet sanded again and finally shot the clear.

    I did all of these with spray cans.

    The plexiglass cover I made from 1/8" thick plexiglass. I have had a lot of requests to duplicate this for other people. I am working on getting some of these laser cut.

    The extra snorkel on the CAI goes to the grille and lets cold air come in from the grille. I see intake temps at ambient temperature or +1 degree.
