    do I prep the pegs and plates too?? They're getting welded on. I wasn't going to paint the plates. Starting this tonight.

    From what I know, which I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, you won't paint the pegs and plates until you've welded them on. You want the metal to be bare and clean.

    Rustoleum spray can bed liner is awesome stuff. Not too rough. Easy to touch up.

    Dont paint the attachment plates and maybe 1-2 inches up the legs.

    paint them after they are welded on and you should be good.

    Yea paint them all the way up to the mounting plates. Some kind of self etch with undercoating (or paint) on the plates after their welded on. :D
