Chris (NJ), GREAT job! How is the dupli color grill job holding up after almost 2 years? This is exactly what my plan is for my black 2012 but I was hoping to find a good success story from someone and how well it held up.

I'm guessing that all is good or you might have posted that the paint started peeling or something.

    Looks amazing!

Thanks! Paint is still in excellent condition. I have one stone chip that I beleive would've damaged even a stock piece. Zero complaints. Very happy I did it this way :)

dont do it with Dupli color...

Shout out to all the Super white tacoma owners. The DUPLI COLOR SUPER WHITE DOES NOT MATCH.

The white is like yellow and i went through 3 cans at 2 different stores because i thought i had bad cans. looks like crap and sticks out like a sore thumb.

instead go with Krylon fusion white in gloss. perfect match and only cost 4$ at walmart i used one whole can and never had a problem.

Is "Red Pearl" the same as Radiant Red? DupliColor doesn't have a Radiant Red and according to page 85 of the DupliColor guide they don't list a Radiant Red either. Just Red Pearl and Barcelona Red

Debadged. ARE Topper. Tailgate mods, including locking handle. BAMF LCA skids.
    Wow!
    Thanks for that write-up.

I'm about to paint my "chrome" grill Superwhite to match the body.

Would using Krylon Fusion suffice instead of Adhesion Promotor? (isn't that what's in it?)

I picked up both the Krylon Fusion in white and Duplicolor Superwhite at my local ORielly's.

    (Reps to you)

i would just buy the dupli color adhesion promoter. its pricey but it turns out correctly which is important

Give it a good sanding to get rid of any smooth, shiny paint. Then clean, prime, paint and clear coat. No need to sand all the paint off.
