Parking Brake Sticks after launching Jets Ski's

    I have two Yamaha Waverunners- Last time out I launched the ski's, parked. A couple hours later backed the truck down the ramp placed in park set the brake. Loaded ski's up put in drive released the brake. No go! brake stuck on. Mess around forward- reverse more gas- boom! brake release flying up the ramp! Obviously caused by water getting in the drum- and with the low water level out here in California we're often back way in to float the boats. Solutions?

    I havent had a problem with my brake. Launching a boat here is probably similar to you. I have to back out (depending on the lake) 60 or so feet in the water, about up to the rear bumper, completely submerging the axel, but the brake seems to realese just fine. If it happens again, take it to the dealer. :)

    That sounds like a great dealer issue- Specially with a truck as new as '08.
