I wouldn’t do magnets. They will scratch the paint, no matter how hard you try.

Those thingys you posted may help but IMO are hideous.

I would get some rock sliders with less angle so they stick out further. Let people smash their doors on those. Because you don’t plan to wheel very much aluminum could be an option for you.

    Workin' on it....
    +1

For your needs you can get low profile sliders without a kick out - very sleek look and functional if ever needed.

Otherwise if you go with something like N-Fab steps they will provide door ding protection as well. I had the 3” tube steps before I got sliders and they worked great for what they were.

Sliders with steps I think might be my ticket. My kids might actually be able get into the truck without me lifting them up too.

BTW, if you ever have fear of parking lot dings, try picking up your kids at the preschool... its wall to wall soccer moms and kids swinging door open into anything they can find.

My @Mobtown Offroad sliders messed a Honda's door up so bad it wouldn't close all the way. Bent the lip of the door in, so it hit before the latch caught all the way. His attempt at an apology was "Sorry bro". 11/10 would buy another pair.
