i have a 2008 sr5 4x4 in white with a lame chrome grille. i plan to do a satoshi grille and i know that partsgeek.com has ones for $33.94 but the sr5 grille sells for $57.94. so whats the big difference regarding fitment for the sr5 grille? cant i just buy the cheaper one? shouldnt it fit the same? thank you.... also if anyone has had thier grille painted what is the going rate, i understand all shops are different but just to get a ballpark thanks again.

I went withe sr5 one...i dont know if there is a difference but i did the satoshi mod with it. Either way once you paint it, i cant imagine it will matter. to get it color matched BSP it cost me $50 at my local shop

Did you actually use partsgeek.com? I want to order one but they have a huge mix of reviews. Some people rant about broken parts and stolen money while others claim great deals.

I would like to know this as well, any difference? And is this reputable?

$50 to paint as well? Awesome.. Wonder what that will be like here in the Bay area. Could get off way cheaper than the $230 grilles that come color matched!

I got a $30 grill from partsgeek and it seems to fit just fine. It comes in two peices and I am not sure of the proper way of connecting the cover to the grill???

I used a soldering iron to melt the tabs. You could also use glue but I went the melting method (same as oem grille if you look at it).

Backup cam in the tailgate handle mod.
Partsgeek grill in my Sig pic. $30. My truck is sr5, I don't think there is a difference except color is gray grill and other grill is black. And yes, soldering iron to melt tabs on grill.

That's were I got mine, chrome, to do a billet install. Grill looked as well as OEM and was in one piece, no worries...

Also bought the cheapest one from partsgeek to paint and cut for an aftermarket grille. Got it sanded down and primed today actually.

It comes in two parts like others have said but that actually makes it easier to paint, etc.

Partsgeek was fine to deal with, with something simple like this. Not sure how easy it would be to return something or whatever though.

My grille had a couple little tabs that were broken off on it because there isn't a ton of packing material in the box. No big deal though, there's like 30 tabs on the whole thing lol
