i can't really say as far as off road ability is concerned because i never went off road with the rugged trails. but from everything i've read and heard there isn't even a comparison between the two, ATs are way better.

Nice build - you may be a bad influence. I'm itching to lift and get off-road. Is there anywhere to go around here? I'll keep an eye-out for your truck. I think I'm the only Pyrite Mica DC in White Plains.

no places to go around white plains. i have a few friends with property up in the catskills and i've been out to rausch creek once (hopefully again soon). i'll be looking for your truck too, i'm not the only magnetic gray in WP but def. the only one lifted with black wheels.

I hope everything is working out for you in TX. Finally getting ready for the lift and you're gone! Send me a PM if you you ever head back this way. Have been researching Rausch Creek -- looks like fun.

Yeah that's too bad, I definitely woulda helped you out with the install. Texas is great so far, I can't say that I miss NY, just some of my friends and family.

What was the prep to spray your wheels? Was thinking either flat black spray paint or I've seen a lot of posts on here where guys have used Plasti-Dip, which is better?

    To prep my wheels I:

    - washed them very thoroughly with soap and water
    - scuffed up the surface with sand paper (I forget which grit)
    - washed again with soap and water
    - wiped them down with acetone
    - went over them with some tacky cheese cloth

I think it was a little overboard, I bet just scuffing them up with sand paper and washing them good with soap and water would have been fine too. I can't comment on plasti-dip, I've never used it.

Thanks for the info. Bought a new TRD OR before I went to Afghanistan so I will be doing some mods, if the wife lets me.
