Seat concepts should have a replacement foam and cover in a low version. KLX250 was my first ever bike and im still getting used to the corner. Everywhere I go at least one person asks me if it's a dirt bike or a street bike.

I'll still be driving though :p

I'm going to call them sometime this week and have them put me on-call for any no-shows. Apparently they have them often. I'd rather wait an extra month than have to pay the $200 to get it done now haha
Yup, already looked into them. It's on the list on the first page haha
    Haha yeah.

I was told that there are people that started out terrible and by the end of the course they were great drivers. So I have nothing to worry about.

I went to sign up for the class in the beginning of june. I had to sign up for the second to last week of june. She called me to tell me the spot for that coming weekend (which was a day away at the time) had opened up...and i had literally, 30seconds prior to her call, just gotten off the phone with a customer who wanted an entire field cleared. Needless to say i had to work instead of accepting the spot in the class ))))): and then they cancelled the next two classes. Now i wait for july. :(

I bought my CRF250L about 8 months ago and love it. I bought a GROM a few months before that too. To transport get the fork saver and canyon dancer. What plans do you have for it.

lucky dog! Been wanting a street legal dirtbike for a while - to commute to college campus on, and I love Hondas - would be thrilled to get one of these!

Do not lower it haha - you want it tall and moving around, so that you can see over traffic when you stand up and such. but yes, supposed to be a great on and off road bike.

I learned (having never driven stick before) on a 1986 Honda Reflex (trials bike, geared nice and low)... Still have it, currently have the engine and airbox torn out to weld up the frame... Crashed a lot learning haha - hopefully you pick it up better than I do, the hills were the hardest part for me (learning how to go downhill).

    above all, ENJOY! :D

I sit pretty far back once I get going, right up against the strap actually haha
Thanks! As high as mine sits over all the street bikes I'll be riding around with I'm not worried about it sitting too low. After all is said and done I'll still be sitting higher than everybody.

I hope I pick it up pretty quickly. Driving around whether it be uphill or downhill is easy. It's having the balance from being short and leaning to feather the throttle and clutch that I'm having trouble with.

Fender elim that shit asap. That sumo someone posted was fucking gorgeous. I need to get a dual sport in my life. Trying to find something that can handle the trails but can still carry a passenger if I need to.

Drove it about 8 miles around town today. Only killed it on a hill this time...

I'm getting better haha the height isn't as much of an issue anymore except getting it off the kick-stand, but I think that has more to do with my weight.

I agree with NEWBIETACO, taking off the strap on the seat makes it more comfortable on longer rides.

But me and my uncle have had the CRF's since last year, and they were a blast to tool around on back roads up in NH! I can't wait to start riding it again! :goingcrazy:

I sit just in front of the strap, so I'm not going to bother taking it off.

I can see how the seat can be relatively uncomfortable. I've only been on it for about 10 minutes at a time though.

My CRF250L seat isnt nearly as bad as my GROM. That little bastard has the harshest seat my ass has even been on but damn that bike is fun.

Always thought those Hondas looked good. And I want to see the retrofit, that would be cool. Just curious... did you look at yamaha's 250 dual sport as well when you were looking to buy? They are pretty nice as well

I like the yamaha but they aren't even close to the same league in price new vs. new. The wr250r is like $2200 more than the crf250L. And the klx250 is like $500-600 more than the honda. For the price and the 100% reliability of an almost always faithful honda, that wins in my opinion hands down
