All this bike talk make me miss my little green monster. I haven't seen it in 3 months, might have to break it out to get it running and throw the new cables in this weekend. Maybe swap to dirt tires and go for a ride

So, good news is that Rocky Mountain is providing a replacement for the radiator. I have to ship the leaking one and once they receive it they'll ship a new one back. They're filing a claim with Honda for the leaking radiator.

Only thing is that the new order invoice they created for the new radiator shows that it's currently backordered. This scares me because it took 2 months to get the first new one because there were none available in the states.

Frustrating thing is my printer won't let me print off the old invoice and the link to the Fedex shipping label doesn't work either. So I get to try and figure that out before I can even ship it. And I still have to take it off the bike... Haha

damn its been a long time since I've checked up on you. you're making me jealous with those SM wheels and tires.

I'm looking at getting a set for my WR250R to help try to keep up with my g/f's dad on a trip to the dragons tail this spring.

I found the moto x supermoto conversion kit for about $1200. what made you choose the kit that you bought and how happy are you with it, or how happy are you with the SM kit in general?

    thanks.

    Haha supermoto kits are awesome!

I'd definitely recommend going through Moto X Industries. I ordered through Motostrano before Moto X had a kit for my bike and they took so long to get it to me that I could have cancelled my order, waited for Moto X to come out with their kit and order it from them and get it faster haha

Since I don't plan to race this thing I just went with the basic Warp 9 kit with solid rotor over the floating one.

awesome. sorry it took so long for you to get yours lol. my first bike was a drz400sm so i still love the look and ridability. ironically i thought i needed something with dirt tires... but now that i have dirt tires i realized theres no where to ride it lol.

I just checked out your high water mark trail trip too.. looks awesome. if it wasn't a 20 hour drive to get there i'd join you guys.

Yeah, I've heard good things about Moto X Industries. Most people go through them, directly through Warp 9, or find them used.

I keep telling myself that I'm going to throw some nice dirt tires on my old wheels and go do some trails, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Thanks, would be awesome if you could make it. First trip I've led so I hope we don't have to make too many detours... Haha

Just because you rode in Colorado on those little 17" things doesn't mean you've ridden on dirt tires :p

I love riding on trails, but my stock dirt tires were terrible. Especially considering the Distanzias perform about the same, except for jumping logs of course.

Maybe this Spring if I have the spare money I'll throw on some of the Pirelli Scorpions I've been wanting and take them to a park.

I like trails, just didnt see the need for any offroad tire really. Muddy stuff i could see where itd be beneficial.
    Exactly why i have one

It helps a ton when you have a good quality off road tire. Just like wheeling our trucks.

Fair enough. I just haven't seen the need for it.

Just like when we were on the mountain bike trails riding. Street tires did just fine and that was pretty gnarly

Eh, that wasn't too bad. Was a challenge on Sumo tires, but with a good set of dirt tires it wouldn't have been very challenging.

The places I want to go ride have trails that a sumo couldn't go up without going 40+ up the hill haha

Not when it takes you two hours to put them dirt tires on just so you have a prayer.
