    So we’re looking at:
    @Naveronski
    @hoarder23
    @ETXTacoma
    Maybe more shipping to Dallas.

    A shipping discount would be great, but having to deal with a local powder coater would be a pain.

    Guess we need to figure out a local PC that can do our bumpers well, and for less money than the shipping (+bare finish) discount.

    Out of curiosity, does this pre-order also have a discount built in? Or is the purpose of the pre-order to get a basic unit count for the first production run? Meaning if someone doesn't "pre-order" now, will they end up paying more once production is ongoing?

    Organizing something with a local powder coater isnt a bad idea as most will give a bulk price for the same color. It’ll be more cost effective for whoever is having their bumpers shipped and wants it powder coated.

    Understood on that, I am all about saving on shipping...

    That makes sense, would we be able to use a jack cover still on it to protect the mechanical parts of the jack?

    :)

    :fingerscrossed:

    We would need to find a place that would powder each one of our bumpers for less than $262 each as that is the price difference from non coated to coated from Pelfrey.

    I would want to make sure that mine somewhat matches my front bumper since mine was done by a guy in Tyler with a Tiger Drylac Matte Black powder, and I think my front bumper cost like $240 or so to prime and powder from him.

    Things. Stuff. Lots of bad decisions.
    Mostly Zip-Ties
    Just call around and compare. I got crazy inconsistent quotes - one ship wanted 650, another wanted 350. I finally found a place in San Antonio that did two coats on both front and rear Pelfreybilt bumpers for $250 cash. Small time father/daughter operation and they did a pretty decent job.

    Well... don't we all...

    @Pelfreybilt on the hi-clearance ones... what about side protection? ala example? But maybe not as complex?

    If you can find one we can ship to that will be a cheaper option as well.

    I'm guessing that these bumpers will ship as 3 separate pieces plus hardware?

    We arent doing the pr order at a discount, this is essentially for those who want to have it a long while before anyone else. The first production run of T4R rears we did will all be to the customer long before the next run.

    You are correct. We havent boxed them up yet so a box on a pallet might still be feasible.

    Yea, I had the front bumper that I bought from y'all shipped directly to my powder guy in Tyler, so if we are going to combine a few and ship to DFW, either will have to find a place in DFW to ship directly too, or would have to ship to a warehouse that has a forklift (we may know someone) and then we can go from there and either I can transport my bumper to my guy in Tyler or what not.

    We havent offered that before, honestly because its really pointless. We run our rigs as hard as anyone out there and have never seen that side protection work. I have seen at least 3 tail lights destroyed even with the "tail light hoops" on there. As fo the bars, I have actually seen them bend and touch the truck where the truck without those hoops might have been narrow enough to miss. That being said it does look cool so who knows? We just might with enough interest. That would all be done in house by hand so it would be costly for us to do ti without enough interest!

    Well, good enough answer for me... ha!

    Not to mention my driver side has already made love to a tree so it is already messed up...
