I have the tow package and as of now unable to fit a 33" (255/80R17) tire up into the spare location. The framework for the tow package seems to be the biggest obstacle.

I plan on getting the Pelfrey standard rear shortly here. Can anybody confirm that a Pelfrey rear bumper would give me more room for a larger diameter spare tire?? I'm guessing I'd need to relocate the hoist/elevator a bit, but right now my concern is getting the spare tire away from the pumpkin.

We have run both a 33" tire under there and a 34" tire under there (255/85/16) without too much issue.

I have a 285/75/R16 under there right now. It won't tuck all the way up in there but it goes far enough.

Angle grinder with a cutoff wheel and you could remove the "guides" near the axle and that should give more room to tuck the tire up there.

Did you take a BFH to the guides/locators? I was able to fit mine up in there.

Oh yeah, the tabs are banged back. I'm not sure how people are getting 33's up there - not with the tow package. With the tire slammed all the way back against the hitch, I'm not at all comfortable with the clearnance for the pumpkin. It'll rub.

Granted, not all "33s" are equal. I believe the Toyo 255/80R17 I'm trying to fit is spec'd at 33.1 inches.

I'm running Coopers so that must be the difference. There isn't a whole lot of wiggle room that's for sure.

Second that. Will be picking up the Front Bumper soon but really want the dual swing out for a 2nd gen after seeing some of the mock ups for the 1st gen. Sadly I was told the 2nd gen is last in line to get it. Hopefully once the latch is completed and 3rd gen and 5th gen 4runner are done it will be quick to add to their currrent designs. One can hope.

Are there any flush mounts that share the size and bolt pattern as the BD S2’s? I’m not going to put $300 lights in the rear bumper but if Auxbeam or another bargain brand has a set that works at $30/pair I’d throw them in to fill the holes.

This thread seems to get the most heat so I'll put this here. Just mounted my rear camera. Instead of taking the camera out of the tailgate I opted to buy a harness/camera and wire that in. I took the OEM mount loose from the frame and that gave me about four more inches of cable to play with. Here's what I ended up with. I'm still tweaking it to avoid the cable hanging up but it seems to be working. @Pelfreybilt you guys do killer work, thanks!

The second gen dual gate will be a while still as we have to do our third gen one and first gen one (they dont have a swing out option at all) and finish our T4R rear for the fifth gen ass they dont even have a rear bumper option haha
