    It's just a normal hitch, but hidden behind the flip-down license plate bracket :) Check out the 2nd picture below the main photo for how it looks when the bracket is in the upright position:

    hey so I m thinking of getting your plate bumper for my 2014 Tacoma and your rear Hi clearance bumper too I am want to get your aluminum plate bumper I do mostly light off roading right now like FSR and nothing heavy on the truck would the aluminum be good. i also have bilstein 5100 with 885s coils. what would the shipping look like to Vancouver, BC.     While our hidden hitch isn’t officially rated, it is designed to hold the same weight as the factory hitch. We have never had any issues with any of our customers towing their trailers & boats within the Toyota recommended weight.

    It doesn't look like the receiver hole is jagged (looks pretty consistent with every one I've ever seen), what you are probably seeing is the weld bead around the receiver.

    Maybe you'e right. It looked to me like the dark black surrounding the hitch is a gap between the hole in the bumper and the hitch. Are you saying the mouth of the hitch is welded to the bumper? Now I feel like I'm staring at one of those hidden images where you keep trying to blur your eyes to make something jump out at you.

    The hole is smooth what you're seeing is the welds

    That makes sense now. All other Pelfreybilt products I've seen have been so clean. Didn't make sense that there'd be a jagged cut somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
