Not sure just yet, I need to be sure that the jacks excess height clears the spare. It will be plenty strong on the ends as well so probably be ok. There are 2x2 supports that tie into the frame/hitch as well, just cant see them.

Hey Tyler are you able to put some pics up of the front bumper and the front IFS plates? Wondering if there is a gap there? Thanks.

You want to see where the two come together at the lower crossmember?

Considering they're so far out already, I wonder if there's any logic to not/putting them on the corners or sides?? :notsure:
What sort of gate-holding mechanism are you thinking, both open and closed? I've seen open use a gas strut (like for hatchbacks or Snugtop rear windows), and just about anything one can dream of for closed (some more awkward than others).
What's your best estimate on base weight?

Really watching this for development. Maybe I'll have the funds to be the first to jump on it......

Ya, still tweeking til it looks good, nothing is really nailed down yet. Pivot mechanism is basically just an axle, simple, bombproof and no extra stuff to break or maintain. I will add a lockout pin at the pivot for holding open at different locations. Locking mech is just a 2500lb pull clamp, same thing, simple but effective. Jerry can / Rotopax holder will most likely be up to customer

Weight wise its going to be pretty heavy. Frame mounts are 3/8", body is 3/16" and there are several reenforcing tubes in the back. Guessing 120ish, will get a better estimate when I get closer

I'm guessing this is what you are looking for. The bumper comes down to the bottom of the crossmember and the skid ties into the bottom of the crossmember. There is no gap

Wow dude that's awesome! I love the spots for the factory plate lights and hitch and trailer wires. That is some really nice engineering!

I see some mounting holes by the reverse cutouts. Are you thinking about the flush mount rigids?

ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
I really think it would look better on a black truck:D
JK.... Looking forward to seeing the final product!

I would like to see it on a truck. Can you make the center rack area removeable for when you are not on a trip?
This will be my next purchase. Hoping to go with pelfreybilt;)
