i have a 2017 bumper on order. the led bar cut out is 30"x2.5", with the mounts being at 31.75". i want the cali raised dual row bar, but the mounting on that is 32". have any of you mounted this to your bumper? i feel like ill just have to hammer the mounts a little and bend them open so the bar mounts will fit. opinions?

Keep saving and get a Baja designs light bar. Watch their vendor thread for deals or blems.

understand that. i am talking about where the bumper comes to a point under the fender. it doesn't line up with the fender at all. its a few inches in front.

I believe it is to allow for trimming the fenders for bigger tires which is fairly common in the Tacoma community. That way when the fenders are trimmed it will line up with the bumper and nothing will protrude into the wheel well.

That would be the opposite then... The bumper should be made a lot shorter so after you trim the fender and flares it lines up.

If you trimmed the flare it would be even more noticeable. See this pic

It's weird because some line up, some don't.

I see now what you two are saying. It is the exact opposite for 2nd gens so my statement is true for those trucks.

I mean, it's not a real deal breaker for me, but I just find it odd, if they did this on purpose, that they didn't model it off a stock/OEM flare.

all the pics on their site are of the white one with bushwackers. I'm thinking they designed it with bushwackers... then again, that seems kinda dumb to do

Wondering if I should buy the hoop too. Finding someone that welds aluminum is hard. Just placed an order for the bumper without the hoop.

Anyone with a Smittybilt winch, or any winch I guess, mind chipping in on where they mounted their solenoid?

I don't have one... But have done a little research over the past year or two and I think a lot of folks end up relocating it in the engine bay somewhere.

It might depend on which model you have. I have an X20-S and was able to shift the solenoid to the side, mount it on the winch itself, and close everything up with my Pelfreybilt aluminum center hoop front plate bumper.

I also used longer bolts to keep the Smittybilt fairlead on the inside, and use my Factor55 fairlead on the outside to prevent this:
