By some stroke of luck I backed into something doing a 10 point turn on the trail yesterday that smashed my license plate and somehow pulled out the bottom portion on the tailgate. Honestly had no idea at what point it happened but it would have been much worse if not for the bumper! So, time for a backup camera relocation

What brand of license plate flip kit is included with the bumper again? You guys wouldn’t happen to have just a single springed hinge laying around in the shop?

Also, is the rear bumper offered in aluminum, or are just the front bumpers?

 

Yeah pricing is weird.
@Pelfreybilt will have to comment on that and there is probably something that needs to be fixed on the site.

The rear is only available in steel so thats also something that is a website glitch.
When you click on the link it actually takes you to the standard rear bumper with swingout.

 

I figured they were glitches... I was just trying to get some clarification and had a mix of confusion and wishful thinking

Im waiting to move into a house with a driveway so I can swap my HC out for one with a swingout.
Right now im in a condo and the truck wouldn't fit into the garage with a swingout.

Then again im also looking at leasing an EV for a DD.
If I do that and park the truck at my moms I can swapout the HC for HC with swingout.

 

Decisions, decisions.

So I have a few small marks on my bumper that are collecting a little rust. Nothing major, but I'm hoping to nip it sooner rather than later. What is recommended for repairs to the powdercoat? Is there a paint code I can match or is a Rustoleum flat black?

I was told a paint pen by my powdercoater that was supposed to match what he did... however it did not...

I have some good scratches now in the lower half of my front bumper, so I may just end up trying to repaint the entire lower half of the bumper (the part that attaches to the frame)

Not sure what color would best match though...

 

I have used the professional grade bed coating and it has been a close enough match. Tape up the area around it...some light passes and it works well assuming your PC is black textured.
