What would be the best way to line up my front hybrid so its closer to the grill surround and headlight shrouds there is a good 1 1/2" gap not vertical distance but horizontal between the bumper and body.

Bullaculla: Yeah, that rear bumper looks GOOD on there! Be glad and proud your 9 year old likes to help, some mechanical skills are a great thing for kids to have, and the bonding is priceless.

Front bumper is looking good too, I have the one with the hoops that go "around" the headlights, but I like your style too.

If you get into any serious wheeling the headlight guards can save your bacon. I went for the full hoops, but the center hoop with small angle tubes looks good and looks a little "lighter". At this point a few more pounds is no biggie. If you are adding a winch the synthetic line is safer AND it saves a good amount of weight.

I went down a trail that just turned to crap last weekend and had to turn around on this twisty narrow trail with rocks and trees on both sides. I wish I had the HC Rear bumper on THEN as I backed into a stump and dinked up the lower rear part of the fender a bit. Not to worry, that part will be cut off when I put on the new Pelfreybuilt bumper. :>)

The more I think about it the more important a rear bumper is because you cannot see what you are backing into on the trail.

If it's just for looks, I like the center hoop. If it's for function, well I just tagged a tree today with one of my headlight hoops on a really tight trail. I can't be 100% certain that it would've hit the truck if I didn't have the hoop, but I AM certain that it didn't hit my truck with it!

I notice you left the little "extensions" in your frame.

Any idea what those are supposed to do? I couldn't figure out what they were for even with the stock setup.

Was curious about that too. They aren't even bolted very tight. I can wiggle mine with my hands.
