Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
I'm thinking I may want to go with a French door style swing-out (double swing-outs, latching in the middle) when I get the funds ponied up for the HC rear bumper. I know anything is possible, but what sort of time and effort (and incentive) would be involved in you coming up with something like that? And just how horrible would the cost be? Possible to get it done in aluminum?

Btw- I know I keep saying I'm getting your skids, sliders, and rear bumper, and then keep not doing it. Other funding demands keep coming up (hey, I got two young kids), so I keep having to put things off :anonymous: . Maybe tax time...?......

Thanks again Tyler. Front looks great!

Tomorrow it comes back off to install the winch and get a better alignment. Then its time to cut the besides and install the HC rear. Tied the Rigid dually's into the stock fog harness like you did and they work great!

Oh ya and gonna get the Pelfreybilt stickers on for the extra horsepower you promised I would get with them!

    Thanks!
Tyler told me about the little shipping adventure with your bumpers. Tyler had good things to say about you and your patience with the situation.

Haha! Yeah. Either way, I still got a badass front bumper :D and he is gonna send me the raw headlight hoops incase I ever really want to go full hoops, I can always cut off the braces and weld on the hoops. It's not a big deal if you work in a shipyard ;)

Pulled into a Lexus dealership yesterday, looking at picking up a 2014 Es350.

Before I could even make it to the brochure section, two salesmen came up asking if I was willing to trade my truck in.. They would buy it cash on the spot, loved the way it looked and the setup. Even were on their hands and knees looking under the truck.

Nice to know, but told them no, that's my "get er done truck ". They both gave me their cards and asked if I ever get the desire to sell, give them 1st chance, and not for the dealer. They wanted to know where I got my bumper, skid plates, sliders, shell and rack.

Made me fell good to know others think as highly about the quality of fine work done on the fabrication.

Airdog: Very Nice rear bumper there! You did a superb installation. Are tere any tips you can offer for installation of this HC rear bumper? I have one ready to come to me and I am anxious to swap out the rear stock bumper.

Measure multiple times. I used two 3 foot straight edge rulers to make my measurements before cutting. One off the top of the bed to give me a place to measure down to the cut line. After I measured down from the top of the bed I taped the straight edge along my cut line and used it as a guide for my cut off wheel (kind of like a fence on a table saw.) If you are using a cutoff wheel for the whole cut go slow and let the wheel do the work. It keeps it from heating up the metal too much and possibly bubbling the paint. Here is a shot of my first and only cut:

I got lucky and was satisfied with the gap between the bumper and the bedside after my first cut. The instructions have a couple of measurements as a guide. It seems as if every truck is different as I actually made my first cut about 1/2 inch longer than suggested in the instructions. My suggestion is to make sure the first cut is about 1/2 inch below the bottom of the tail light. On my truck it was 17.5 inches and it worked out for me. I think this number may change from truck to truck depending on how the bed protector is sitting on the top of your bed. Big thing to remember is you can always trim it shorter but you cant put back what you cut off.....so play it safe and take your time.

For those of you with high clearance bumpers, how much does the body panel flex when you push against it? Does it lose a fair amount of strength or does it still feel solid?

It moves less than stock. Tyler gives you sweet new support brackets and hardware to support the cut bedsides! The boy thought of everything,,,,even the moulding for the new cuts!
