They don’t make long bed Tacomas. Only 6-foot beds, and I hate caps!

I had a cap on my 14 Silverado, there convenient. It was color matched and looked nice too, but I had to walk in on my knees!

I have a tri-fold tonneau cover now and it’s awesome!

What do you think of all the classic cars in cartoons? I guess that's why the call them cartoons?

The license plate on the car even looks somewhat like a Connecticut plate!

Looks like a combination of a Cadillac (especially the pink color), a 1949-1953 Ford, and now that you’ve said it, the old taxi. The lack of fins means it can’t be a Caddy though.

Though maybe a 1948-1953 Caddy? Those had more blunted tailfins...?

I was over at my friend's apartment watching YouTube videos by a mechanic named Scotty Kilmer. He has been a mechanic for something like fifty years, and people ask him advice. In one of his videos, he answered the question of someone who wanted to buy a 1993 V6 Camry. He said that a 4-cylinder Camry is a better buy than a V6 one because the engine has more parts to wear out, and is making more horsepower, which strains the engine even more; Therefore, a 4-banger Camry will be more durable in the long run. I wholeheartedly believe that this is the case for 4-banger Tacos as well. The same goes for 2.4L Toyota pickups vs 3.0L Toyota pickups.

Yes, my truck may not be the fastest thing in the world, but I've heard that 3.4L and 4.0L Tacos are not as durable as their 2.4L and 2.7L counterparts. For starters, the 4.0L has copper-tipped spark plugs while the 2.7L uses iridium-tipped spark plugs; My owner's manual says my truck can make it to 120K on the original spark plugs (though I changed 'em out at 100K). By comparison, according to the owner's manual, Toyota recommends changing the 4.0L's spark plugs at 30K. My former supervisor from the detail shop made it to almost 60K on his original park plugs before I informed him of what the owner's manual said, and he decided to change them.

Also, the 2.7L uses a timing chain while the 4.0L uses a timing belt. I do not know enough about the 3.5L to form an opinion, but it's looking like my next Taco is going to have that engine.

Scotty has a good channel, like his videos too. I thought the 4.0 used a timing chain.

Pretty sure it's a timing belt...

I just did a quick parts check and it is a chain.

The 3.5 goes twice as long on spark plugs compared to the old 4.0

You're gonna have a whole fleet of Toyota trucks! Is it a stick shift?
