Only UCA's? Everything else is bone-stock?

That's truly impressive. Have you ever stuffed them at full flex?

285/65-18 Nitto Terra Grappler G2, Method 18x9 -12 offset, leveling kit. Had to trim a bit off of the inside of the front bumper/wheelwell, need to take the heat gun to the rear, still rubs there slightly, but no rubbing on the cab mount. E47AFAE3-82CA-48E0-8A08-DA7A8FE3DA74.jpg

5100's w/887 springs, add a leaf, just saying the UCA's will definitely help with clearance.

I have OME 886 in front and Dakar’s in back. Full 3 inch lift. 285/70/17 falken wildpeaks. Did not have to do any trimming at all, doesn’t rub at all. Just had to get rid of front mud flaps.

Get some adjustable upper control arms then you might only have to trim plastic

I'm happy to see someone running 18" wheels! I just bought a 2018 TRD Sport, and a set of 18x9 -12mm offset rims, with 285/65/R18 Nitto Tires, and I was hoping they would fit without touching the frame.

By leveling kit do you mean spacers or coilovers? No lift in the rear?

Could you share some pictures of the cuts you made wheel well? What did you do to the rear?

    Thanks!

FWIW: 285/75-16 k02s on stock trd pro with no rubbing even when dog leggin fully articulated and turning

EDIT: I should say I used a heat gun on the fender wells to massage them out of the way in the front and back to have truly no rub

Just to throw this out there, upper control arms that allow for a better caster angle will also pull the wheel back into the cab mount. I never rubbed until after I installed upper control arms, 2 degrees moves the tire quite a bit. Which makes me wonder why aftermarket companies don't make lower control arms to increase caster angle and push the tire away from the cab...

I have no rub as of yet. I haven't fully stuffed them yet but they seem to clear by quite a bit. It is 100% dependent on your wheel offset and back spacing. If you have to do a CMC, it's not a big deal. Can be done easily and in no way affects the structural integrity of the truck.

This is probably a crazy question.. i have 285/65R18 in my 2nd gen 2” leveling kit.. about to purchase a 2019 TRD OR.. wondering if i could put them on temporarily (a week) until i get my new suspension parts installed.. probably not without major trimming.. i need to find some stock wheels/tires to bring in for trade.. but i thought I’d ask

The variation in rub/no rub is pretty entertaining. I've got 888's with SPC UCA, maxed out positive caster (~+4 deg), and occasionally rub the plastic with 265/75/16 on SCS Ray 10's when stuffed and turned. There's no doubt I would rub plastic and the cab mount with 285's on my truck. It really is truck to truck.

Just had to remove a little off of this corner, then pulled the fender liner forward a little and repinned it.IMG_5347.jpg IMG_5348.jpg

I own 2018 Trd off rd 4*4 ,I had the 265/70/16 factory , I went with a 2.5 in front and 1” in rear , that pretty much leveled truck giving a great stance , then I put the bf good at ko2 285/75/16 gave me 2” additional lift , no rub at all , even better look , could not be happier with my lift on a budget .

Just made the jump to 285. I guess I’ll know pretty quickly if it rubs.

How many of you did the pinch weld?I just had my new suspension installed and had to add spacers for uca clearance.I had the 285s before with a cheap rc lift that was supposedly 3 inches but I'm sure its the spacers that got me rubbing. I am rubbing fenders and cab mount.Just curious if the pinch weld is necessary?I do think I'll go to a 34 tire next time so I'll probably have it done but I'm curious with the 285s if necessary when I cmc it.
