Solid axle is easy... All you need are the parts, a welder, and the axle housing..

Depends which route you want to take. I installed my LT kit with a friend of mine. It took us about 2 days to finish the project... After my buddy and I completed the install I was wishing I had installed it myself because it was pretty easy except removing the LCA's. Haha. Do a little research before you start hacking or unbolting crap on the tacoma. If you install your own crap on your tacoma you save a lot of money!:D

Before you think about SAS ask yourself if you really need it. Its more than a little cutting, grinding, and welding

How do you figure? Well...I guess there is measuring involved too :p

edit: from the sounds of things, the last thing this guy needs is a SAS recommendation. I suggested to stay stock, but his ego is beyond that. Trust me dude, the only one thinking big trucks get you more respect is you. It's the same in every state, I promise.

X2 Missouri has it's fair share of hicks, but chicks liked my Tacoma when it was stock over any of the pos lifted jeeps and brodozers

I have had OME all around and I liked it a lot. My newer truck came with King coilovers in the front, and I installed OME in the rear and I LOVE it. It rode really nice even before I removed the sway bar, and afterward it got even better.
I would say it's 2.5-3" of lift. I can fit 32s easy and I could probably fit 33s with minimal rub.

Point is, I would stay the hell away from drop bracket lifts, body lifts, tuff country/pro crap/etc, and just generally spacer lifts. If you want to build a mall crawler so you can have the "tallest taco in utah" then that's your choice because it would be your truck. But you probably won't be satisfied with it nor will it perform as well off road (not to mention if you go wheel with serious people they probably won't take you seriously).

And as for not really having confidence in working on your truck yourself...don't worry! Just first start with somebody else with more experience than you as a guide, make sure you have tools (and patience!), and follow the directions in the manual. After a little while, you get used to it and may not even need directions anymore. Plus it's a lot more satisfying...I like it when people ask about my truck and I can safely reply that I build the thing (with help, of course) without paying a shop.

If you choose to do the lift your self good luck with putting a drop bracket in i belive that includes welding. An lol the trail gear kit "A" is missing stuff some pretty important stuff... Kit "C" has almost all of what you will need;)
