Are there any suggestions for front disc brake pads that offer real "BITE" with acceptable wear?

    Looking...

Anything semi-metallic is going to bite really hard at any temp and have good wear. I have used R1 semi-metallic pads, they work good with not too much dust. The most aggressive pad I have used is Centric C-tek semi metalic. Very dusty but they literally will put you through the windshield.
Don't be fooled by price. Semi metallic pads are very inexpensive compared to ceramics, this doesn't mean they are inferior.

Centric Fleet Performance 306.09760. Same as TRD Sport pads w/o the red paint and higher price.

I tried semi metallic pads in my 2001 tundra, and hated them. They were noisy till the pads got up to temp. The stock toyota ceramic pads gave me the best performance.

Check out Tire Rack, you can even reach out to them and pick their brains about it.

Not sure if MAX brakes are in the US but they ship right to your door and offer cheap brakes, OEM brakes, and performance brakes. More importantly they come with a special coating to prevent corrosion & rust and to protect against moisture and salt.

They're even on Amazon. I last used them on my CRV and they lasted a long time and weren't too dusty up front. I will use them again when they are due.

I'm sure the pads and the rotors are better :notsure:

Here's the brake line kit sold separately.

Not been impressed with the brakes on this truck at all. Been trying to decide on an upgrade. Doesn't even have two grand on it yet.
Just the pads here. I was thinking of trying pads. But the factory pads that came on my truck should be ceramic. So I haven't been sure it would make any difference.
Pads might work for you though. $52

I had a set of EBC slotted and drilled rotors on my 2001 tundra for years. They were outstanding vs the original solid ones.
