I’d love to experiment but it’s hard to get on board with the idea of sampling any more of them. For the manual, there’s lots of KDMax, OTT, Yotawerx, Coyoza, and OV. Tons of conflicting experiences out there, for every praise of one tune, there are just as many downtalking it and praising one of the others.

I’m not against trying others at all, but what is the guarantee that I’m not wasting my money? I don’t have the VF software so I’m mostly at the mercy of others doing the work so trying various ones gets expensive quick.

I've been saying for a long time that the community would really benefit from some sort of detailed testing and review of the major tunes available with all the results compiled in one spot, such as a video or write-up. Each tune has its benefits, and it becomes confusing for people. Reviewer can't be anyone who creates or sells tunes, or flashes as a service due to inherent bias. And needs to be someone honest enough to publicly state if someone has contacted them privately to try to bribe them or sway their opinion in one direction.

IMO I really like how I set up everything on mine so far, I have a Carven Cat-Back, as well as a Mishimoto Intake Tube (intake resonator delete) and to tie it all together i got a Overland Torque Tune. makes a huge difference and can barely feel the 285s

That rig is obviously "manual", so no "S" or "ECT".

You know you can listen to the baboons on here telling you no don't waste your money .what do they know . If you combine a good true cold air intake and some good cat back exhaust for sure your gonna get better flow . I run the k&n performance intake and mrbp performance exhaust and made a big difference. Best of luck

If anyone would like bolt on's tested on the dyno, OTT would be happy to test them on our 2022 Shop Vehicle.

I'd be happy to test and dyno intakes, cat-backs, y-pipes, or any other common bolt-on that does not require major time consuming installs as all the parts would be installed on the dyno (and time costs $).

Send me a PM if you're interested in having a part tested that you can provide. I WILL dyno everything sent in the most repeatable fashion possible on the stock calibration that is modified for gear lock operation. All Log files will be provided. All parts will be returned to the person who donated them.

This will need to happen soon as our shop vehicle will be going under the knife for some more additional modifications that wont make the results relevant to most in the community.

Better jump on that opportunity ^^^^

Secondly, the N/A dyno thread just needs to be a compilation of dynos charts, with the relevant mods and data. MOST Preferably done in SAE Smoothing Correction Factor. Not STD.

One thing I disliked about the Third Gan Tacos is the doggy response unless you hit the ECT Button. Also, you cannot installed headers due to the head design.

    So,...

I just installed a Pedal Commander in my 2019 TRD Pro. I was skeptical for several years but I finally tried it. Probably the best mod I ever did. I could not believe the improvement in my Taco. It is just a win win.
You can select the response you like and if you select "Sport Plus Level 4" you better be ready for it. Great Product. The Pedal Commander does not give you more power, it just gives your Taco the Quick Response you want.

Then I installed a new K&N Cold Air Untake next. Oh My,..it really works well. You can hear the suction and feels the performance improvement. Highly Recommend this mod. I have used K&N Products for many years with great results.
17 Dynoed HP Improvement. Win Win

My Taco feels like a new truck now. I can select the engine response I like from Economy to Sport plus at the push of a button. And I can boil the rear tires if I want. Whats not to like about that,

I want to see the actual “ I paid my hard earned money for this upgrade and backed it up with a dyno run”.

In 96 HKS came out with their boost controller for the 2JZ-GTE TT engine in the Supra claiming 135 HP gain. I bought that shit and said WTH I’m going to dyno it. I got 147 hp over stock controller.

Still have that Supra but it currently has Nissan power with a worked RB26DETT engine with around 1200 hp. My wife is trying to talk me into putting that into the Tacoma when I get home in March. Oh what fun that would be…

I’m in the consensus that we need to have a tune database for users. I’m willing to dyno my truck with OTT tune when I get home. Have my stock tune so it would be a simple 5 minute change over to ensure same day same temp same barometer, etc.

You might consider testing out the competitor version KDMax10 tune as well. I trust you over all the biased reviews on YouTube
