Just curious how many believe in a correlation between what you put in your mouth and overall health. I have many friends who eat like shit and have to take meds and scoff at the idea that food could be part of the problem. By the way Im not perfect at healthy eating and I like salty greasy food too, just not all the time.

Stay away from pharmaceuticals as long as you can. If there's even the slightest chance of "food" being the problem, a change in diet should occur.

I take meds everyday and I hate the person it turns me into.

sugar is a killer for me, depression, agitation, makes me hungry and tired. I try to leave it alone now. Artificial sweeteners aren't much better in fact aspartame makes me hungry the minute I ingest it.

That or everything in moderation, I feel going vegan offers many benefits too. I'm not a Vegian, but feel the more you can get away from meat, cheese, high fructose/sugar, processed food....etc

Depends on what you mean by balance. For me soda is garbage not even once, weight gain, tired, cant focus, blood sugar problems, irritable

my roommate eats like shit (frozen pizzas and zaxbys literally every meal and a case or two of sodas a week), smokes weed and just in general doesn't do anything active and he coughs like a chain smoker and is literally always nursing a bottle of pepto in order to calm his stomach. now according to him, mary jo wanna is the best and only medicine he'll ever need to live a long and prosperous life, but im pretty sure hes missing something because hes on the toilet most of the time he's awake during the day. I bounce back and forth between eating a little unhealthy and eating healthy and I can definitely tell the difference in the way I feel and how much I feel sick or not well. Im all for not going the pharma route until its literally the only thing that will keep me alive. I think diet is probably the number one thing someone can do to solve MOST (didn't say ALL so don't get those panties in a bunch) of their "illnesses".
