I swerve into oncoming traffic when the opposing car blinds me with POS HID retrofit lights.

I also refuse to move on trail rides when the guy behind me has them on his truck. Last time I stopped in the trail, got out, and yelled for him to turn them off....... BGR :D

I didn't get picks of the other one. After calling 911 my crackberry goes into emergency mode and wouldn't let me take pics. Now I don't call 911 until after I snap some shots :D

Those Philips bulbs do have a blue tint ring around the top, so they produce some of the "white" light for the xenon-look crowd. But, the ring doesn't cover the whole bulb like it does with Silverstars, so you still get *most* of the benefits of an un-tinted bulb.

The tint filters light out of the filament, so it doesn't go down the road. That's why Silverstars are a bit misleading. The filament puts out more light, but a lot of it is filtered so they aren't really any better than factory bulbs (other than the light is white).

Blue filtering removes more of the useful light than yellow filtering (for some of those "fog" style yellow tint bulbs), so yellow is more useful than blue.

If you prefer white light over more light, then there's nothing to argue about. :) If you want more light, there are better options than tinted bulbs.
