    It's official.
Picked up my Tacoma today, an Indigo blue 2006 2.7L 5spd SR5 4x4 Access Cab.

OME 884 Lift, 255/85R16s and gears are on the horizon.

    Oh what a feeling :)

Guess an AAL would be the best option for a 1" lift in the rear?

You can always get some weather tech mud flaps that are much better than OeM. Also good looking truck man!

Thanks for the Weather Tech Tip.

Will verify clearance (255/85 tires) before replacing the mud flaps.

I like that mild lift a lot. Anything new as far as the rear suspension goes? Tires look perfect to. Any rubbing there?

Was this truck vacuum sealed in storage or something? The frame and suspension all looks mint, meanwhile I fluid film 3x per year and still have to scrape and paint rust off every year. Damn californians :p

Short time behind the wheel, but since new tires are E rated...road manners do seem stiffer.
I haven't checked to see what they set the pressure on these tires, maybe I'm running at 50lbs :p

Haven't noticed any rubbing, but only first day (actually 1/2 day).
I hope to go offroad in the next month...will keep you posted.

    Thanks :)

    Suspension is all new...installed myself.
Frame is in really good shape...better through some por15 on it, before the salt air gets any ideas.

Too soon on the mileage, but was pleasantly surprised how well the stock 4.10 gears handle the taller tires.

I love the immediate lift, provided by the tires...feels more like a truck now :)

    Nice truck man!
    Great looking tires too!

SO is that OME lift the type if you choose to go with a heavier front bumper you can just change out the coils?

    Correct.

After installing the nitros and 884 springs (and a 1/4 spacer to address the taco lean)...my front lift measurements are as follows (hub to fender):

    FD 23.0 FP 23.0

    Since I'm a 4cyl, the 884 springs gave me a full 2 1/2" lift.

If you review the OME specs below, you will notice that all Tacoma springs have a 590lbs spring rate, just different lengths (except for the 886s - 660lbs).

    springRATE_zps05kyztwz_eb4cf3f1a1756ae3cca822f58a21f4dd36215b53.jpg

If I lost 1/2" (after installing a bumper), I could install the 885 springs to return back to the previous height.
If I lost 1", I could go with 887 springs.

From what I've read, you go with the heavier 886 springs when your installing a bumper and a winch...due to the spring rates.
