Picking up a new Taco this Saturday after the dealer sold the vehicle I put a deposit down on. They made it right and obtained another with better options and the same price for me.

A few random facts about my situation:

This will be my first Toyota. I'm a Mitsu fan and have owned 3 (Eclipse, EVO X, and Montero Sport).

This is my first truck. I dont know that I will do a lot of towing but I move a lot of stuff for my business.

I've never test drove a vehicle before purchasing. I know what I like, read a lot of reviews, lurk forums etc. I've had my eye on the Tacoma for a few months. I did sit in one and I really liked the interior. Coming from the 03 Montero Sport I know the Taco will be an improvement.

This will be my second manual vehicle. I miss the EVO and having a manual again even in a truck is another reason that led me to the Tacoma.

The Taco has the largest engine of any vehicle I've owned. At 3.5 L vs 2.4 in the eclipse, 2.0 in the EVO and 3.0 pig in the Montero Sport.

The Taco is the first white vehicle I will own. I had a black evo x and really wanted white at the time but it wasn't available. Funny thing is now I kind of want a black Tacoma but it isn't available.

I look forward to being a member on a active forum again. I've lurked for a bit and see that there is a lot of good info here. Cheers!
