Why would you want to bedline a composite bed?

I never did bed liner in my dodge, the bed was abused but I didn't care what it looked like. I definitely wouldn't even think about it on a composite bed

I wasn't too sure I would like not having a metal bed, but now the composite bed is growing on me.

However, can it crack if I throw something heavy into it in the winter? I mean, is it brittle? A liner might help if that is the case.

Yeah it can crack, but it'd have to be something very big and heavy.

Cleaning the bed with a brush and car soap will take care of the discoloration. But a rubber mat will solve both your problems...keeps stuff from sliding and hides the discoloration. ;)

The bedliner is similar to a paint. Surface has to be roughed up. Roughing this bed up would be a lengthy process. I think that even bedliner will end up peeling if sprayed on composite.

I will be giving it a shot, after I get my bumper and a couple more things done.
I have some other things to get sprayed and I am willing to do it even if it is wrong. :D

It's all in my head at the moment...
So all of us who have drilled into our beds are lumped into a class of 'dumb-asses" as you refer?

How about calling a spray in bed liner place and ask it's possible or practical? They may know just a little bit more than us "dumb-asses"
