I'm searching for tires soon. Have an 09 DC sport. 265,65,17 ... changing to 265,70,17 .. what gains do you see? Does one have to do any other mods? Gearing? Does this hurt MPG?

I know little to nothing about lifts but had a question hoping someone could jump in. I have a '12 SR5 DC LB with 265/75/16s I would like small lift. I see 5100s mentioned a lot, no problem there can do the fronts with a 1.75" but I don't have a TSB to so to get there at any higher and already have a 4pack back there what would I need to do to get it leveled out with the 5100s and a setting of 1.75 up front? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the TSB was just to add a 4th leaf to sagging 3 leaf trucks, so if you already have one you should be good to go. I'm not 100% on that though, but I have 4 leafs and plan on going with 5100s at 1.75 in the front.. If it's too high I'll just put it down to .85

Should have gotten your 5100's on first then done the TSB.. Free alignment then.

My truck needed UCA's really bad and a 1/4" shim on the drivers side to correct lean. It looks and drives great now!!

My trucked looked just a tad nose high with 4leaf rear and 1.75 front .
1" blocks in the rear made it perfect .

Though I plan on lifting both front and rear up more soon .

I just got mine done yesterday and it's a tad high in the front. Putting the 1" block in did you have to adjust anything else in the rear. How does it ride?

Rear rides like stock. Front as everyone knows is slightly harsher then stock at 1.75 but nothing to complain about.

Just purchased a new tacom trd sport and was checking out the site, tons of good info. Is this the ideal set up? Any issues with running a 285/70/17 with the 5100s?

So if you you have the original 3 leafs do you need to install the AAL? Who has the best price on the bilsteins? I just bought a 2010 access cab and this is exactly the way I want to go. Tires and lift look great for a daily driver/ hunting truck!

Yes, you would need to do the AAL, Would suggest just going to toytech and doing their Ultimate lift or the EMU full lift. 3inch in front, 2 inch AAL in rear. My question is with these tires do they have enough room for the UCA to clear it?? It is the issue I have with 285/75/r16s on stock TRD Offroad rims and I am going to the 17inch TRD Sports.
