Overall I like it! Ride is stiffer, that took some getting used to. I drive quite a bit of gravel roads with washboards and it actually handles those better, I think the Australians must have built this setup for that kind of road.

It wanders a little when driving on the interstate at highway speeds but that could be the tires, not for sure. The tires seem to be wearing very well and I love the look of them but they are a bit noisy. Seems like they're the loudest at 30-45 on paved roads, noise seems to lessen when I get up to highway speeds. I may try BFG all terrains if I had to do it over but I've never had a set of those so really don't know if they would be any different.

    Thanks

Good toy hear you like it. Maybe if you post your alignment specs chris or someone might be able to help you out with your wondering. I thought new UCA's were suppposed to fix that.

Wheeler's is a little more expensive to ship, and they don't give forum members discounts. But with the discount Toytec is cheaper by like $5 whoo-hoo. ;) My OME 885's shoud be here in time for Christmas :bananadance: :yay:

I measured my "stock" height and with my rims, and the BFG a/t i measured 35-3/8" l/s front and 35-5/8" r/s front. Now the rears are with the TSB leaf- 37-3/8" l/s and 37-3/4" r/s. So damn... if my measurements are correct and your's are too, that gives just over 3-1/2" up front!!!

    Great write up!!!!

Hey thanks for the measurments! I was hoping it was the full 3. I suppose the extra 1/2" or so comes from the 285/70's.

sandfire, I'd just like to check on how your liking those atz's again. Specifically on the highway and in the rain. Last week while the road was wet I was cruising along in the right lane when all of a sudden my rear end slid out on me at about 70 and I jumped the median going sidways blah blah blah. Anyways, do you feel comfortable in them? Do they get good traction?

I've heard mixed...do you need 1/4" spacer or 1/2" spacer?

They seem to have really good traction and clean out well, had a bunch of snow lately and hardly ever had reason to use 4x4. No probs in the rain so far. Seems like the noise is lessening as they wear or I'm just getting used to it.

Thanks, I'm just waiting to get reimbursed for my move and Ill be getting my lift and tires. I have to say, if it wasn't for VSC and no on-comming traffic, I would be in pretty bad shape.

Sounds like you got lucky! Hopefully you don't get much rain before the new tires Huh?

    Looks good!
This is almost the exact set up I want; except with Dakars.
I see you are 39" in the front; what does the rear measure?

I don't remember off hand but I'll get you a measurement sometime, you may have to keep reminding me since we just welcomed our first baby into the world.:)

Sandfire - Dig your truck. How big of a difference was the ride with just the TSB as opposed to the TSB and the AAL. I'm having the dealership do the TSB and am wondering how much my ride is going to be affected if I need to do an AAL as well. Thanks

Nice truck! Your suspension job is exactly what I am looking for. I'm very interested in an OME system. I'm just curious what parts you got exactly and from where.
