No issues, but I'm running 4 runner wheels and they have a 4.5 BS not the 5.5 that is on the stock TRD sport wheels.

This setup on my 2013 TRD Sport sits flush with the fenders. I had to remove the front mud flaps because it was rubbing with very little turn. No problems rubbing without mud flaps so far but I been taking it easy on bumps when the wheel is turned.

How are so many people not having rubbing issues with the 265/70/17?

Here mine are. I am having some rubbage when turning sharp also when flexing in turns.

265/70/17 or 265/75/16 on OEM wheels are 99% fine and do not rub. Absolute worst case with some beefy AT tires, a few had to loose front mud flaps.

Stock OEM wheels on a 2nd gen have 5.5bs and 30mm offset. You have aftermarket wheels, so if you have let say 4.5bs instead of 5.5 your wheels will stick out of the wheel well more than stock. Therefore, once you turn your wheel it may interfere with fender flares, mud flaps etc. in spots where it normally would not.

I have 16x8, 4.5bs, 0 offset wheels mounted with 265/75/16 AT tires (same overall size as 265/70/17) and had to loose mudflaps and bend the end piece of the fender flare that is normally covered by the front mud flap inward.

Now it does not rub even at full lock and reverse. Not tested while offroading yet.

I am probably going to take the front flaps off (which will do a number on my paint I'm sure) but yeah, according to the website the back spacing is 5. Not 100% sure yet if they are ONLY rubbing on the flaps.

I edited my post and added some more stuff while you quoted me and replied.

If you have 5bs that may be enough once you loose front mudflaps. Actually if you prefer front mudflaps on, you may want to try Husky Liner mud guards. They are $30 for fronts and $30 for rears if you want to match. The good think is they are a few inches shorter for front ones than OEM's and they also have less of a bulge covering the end of the fender flare compared to OEM ones. That may be enough to clear the tire, maybe...

Here is a comparison review with a few pics:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/gr...r-mud-guards-29-95-shipped-2.html#post4086920

Btw. when I took mine off, paint was damaged already...oh well..

265/75/17 What size is that tire in inches? 32"? i have my winter tires on right now and they are 245/75/17 which works out to about 31" any they are considered a stock tire for a Tacoma from what ive heard and seen. Did the 265/75/17 rub at all during cornering (Making a U-Turn) or when flexing going over any moderate terrain? Just wanted to get a heads up if i should stick with the 245/75/17's or go with the 265's also wondering how your spedometer and mileage was affected with those tires. ATM i am getting 9-10L /100km highway and 14-15L /100km city-all around driving

265/75/17? I have never seen such a tire size, that would be almost 32.5". Did you mean 265/75/16 by a chance?

Also 2nd gen 6 lug Tacomas come with 245/75/16 in SR5 trim and Base trim and in either 265/70/16 or 265/65/17 or 265/60/18 in TRD trims.

Also, did you mean 245/75/16 instead of 245/75/17 by a chance? You can have any of those above mentioned tires without a problem as they come stock on a Tacoma depending on the trim.

You can also go one size bigger, either 265/75/16 or 265/70/17. If you mount them on OEM wheels 95% chance they will not rub at all, 5% chance you will have to loose front mud flaps. Depends on particular tire. If you put these on aftermarket wheels that stick out more, or if you have OEM wheels with spacers, you will most likely rub some. You can possibly solve that with removing front mud flaps and maybe some very minor trimming or bending fender flare end plastic.

    Hope this helps.

Here is a link to the tire size calculator.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tirecalc.php?tires=245-75r16-265-75r16

Also, I have 265/75/16 AT tires in summer and I noticed about 0.5-1mpg drop in mileage. Also your speedo will be a bit off. Some say that it will actually be spot on according to GPS, I have yet to try that.

Thanks Kryten. My truck has the TRD Sport pkg with 17" wheels i am currently running 245/75/16 for my winter tires they are roughly 31" in diameter are the 265/65/17 tires 32" in diameter? I would like to run 32" tires on my stock toyota rims but only if i can guarantee no rub and down the road i will be putting a 2 3/4" lift on my truck so if i can buy the 32's run them till i can save enough for the lift thats what ill do. They will clear for sure with the lift but i just want to know if im safe to run the 32's in the mean time. The tires i am going to be getting are toyo MTR's
