Well i finally got around to posting the only pics i have of my truck. Unfortunately the only pics i have are of her stuck in the mud..... at midnight. Just click on the camera to the right of my name and check out my gallery if you have some time. I know the mud i'm in doesn't look that bad, but as soon as i got into it my headlights hit a wall of briars and brush that would have scratched my truck all to hell. Since i had only had the truck for about 36 hours i didn't feel like destroying the paint, so i had to come to a complete stop, which is a bad idea in mud. Plus there was a little drainage ditch, and i had just rolled over a fallen tree. needless to say i couldnt get my truck out of the ditch and over the tree. Fortunately we were camping at a friends farm where i knew there were big machines that could help me escape. When i decided to take her out i was determined to really test her, which meant driving till she got stuck... which i did. anyway, i've rambled enough. enjoy my stupidity :)

ok, i just checked them out and they are not in the right order and i can't get them to get in the right order, so start at the bottom and work your way up, right to left... the exact opposite of reading a book. Ok tcBob, now its time for you to make it look like i'm pulling the tractor out of the mud:)

Yeah, i want some more aggressive tread but i also want a nice ride when im on the road. any suggestions? BTW, i drove her through alot of stuff before that and she did fine. I had to go really slow, like i said, it was midnight, i was drunk and didnt know the trail. But i was real impressed up until i had to stop right in the middle of it and try to restart

Sounds like you had a good time man! As far as tires go I had alot of luck with BFG All-terrains. They seem to work well in alot of differant types of stuff, hell they even work good in the soft sugar sand we have on the beaches by me. The BFG's are pretty quite on the road to and they wore real well. I had them on my 98 taco and I wheeled the shit out of it. Damn you Ndcouch now you got me missing having a 4x4.

I have the factory tires that came with the TRD off road. they are BFG all terrains, or trail, i dont remember. they actually have some descent tread but you can't tell from those pics. the tread is so filled in w/ mud they look like the tires that come on the sport TRD's

You have the rugged trails which in my opinion suck the all-terrian are more aggressive.

    Rugged trails.

I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure my tread looks more like the all terrain. I'll have to check when i go back to the parking lot

The tread patern on Rugged Trail tires vary by size.

The size that comes on the TRD off roads looks like this
    http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...del=Rugged+Trail+T/A&GCID=C13674x032&code=yes

I had the same tires on my 04 taco, and they did alright on pavement, loose and hard sand, and even some rock crawling, but I do have to agree that when the water becomes mud they pack out and become nearly racing slicks.

Price, performance, and quality factored together, my money buys Cooper tires. The Cooper Discoverer ST tire has all the performance at only 2/3 of the price of the BFG All Terrains. http://www.coopertire.com/html/prod...verer_st&search=bySize&twtd=265&artw=70&rd=16

    Just my $0.02

If you want Cooper Traction Off-Road, this is what you need...

 Just kidding, that MIGHT be a little overkill. ;)

That might be great on a trail truck, but I have to imagine that tire would even drown out un-muffeled exhaust on the pavement. LOL. notice that on the performance graph on cooper's site that they don't even show road noise for this one.:)
