piece under headlight???

    on the 2001 tacoma there is a piece that snaps in under between the headlight and bumper. I dont even know what to call this piece let alone were to find it :confused: please help

    It's called the "Headlight Filler". You can get them just about ahywhere, go to google and type it in and you will get all kinds of hits. They are like $14 a peice. And you can get them painted to match your truck.

    Does anyone else have a problem with these falling out? If i let my hood slam too hard the passenger one pops out.

    Mine happened to be zip tied on because it would always fall off. If you do it just right no one will know unless you tell them.... one day i'm doing a 05+ one peice clip

    I have the same problem. Actually kind of the same. I HAVE to slam my hood very hard in order for it to latch? I have greased the hell out of it with no improvements?

    As a result, I have lost one of these little metal pieces you refer to AND I typically blow a headlight from jarring the front end too much.

    Anyone else have a problem with there hood latch???

    yeah so do i but my problem is trying to get the hood to pop up and unlatch while pulling the lever thing in the cab. So I always have to have someone else pull up on the hood while puliing the lever for it to pop up.

    my hood latch works fine but my lil peice yall talk bout occasionally wiggles loose, but if you give it a good smack it stays in its place a few thousand miles lol
