Just curious, does wild boar taste better than what you get in the market? I would imagine it does, but I've never tried it. Nice job btw.

usually a bit stronger taste. When i'm killin for meat I shoot the smallest one I see. I shoot one 30 pounds if it walks in front of me:D. But if a big boar ever comes my way I kill it for the skull mount. Looks badass. Meat isnt near as good though.

Any of those guns will work. As for distance it really depends. In Fl I can usually get with in 75yrds. The .44 should have enough ass left in it to knock down the pig. The .223 will work just fine. My buddies 7 yrold son uses a single shot .223 and it works well.
    Good luck.

If you use the .223 just shoot them behind the ear. I have killed a bunch of hogs using a 22-250 with a shot right behind the ear, drops them in their tracks.

I think it is a switchback. Either that or an outback. It is my buddy in the pic so I am not 100% certain. It is a sweet bow.

The .223 will be fine for pigs as long as you make a good shot. Behind the ear would be best. I have a friend that has killed piles of pigs with his .223
The 44 mag would be great for 50 yards or less. I want to get a 44mag revolver for pigs.

I need to get a scope for it. If you don't mind, how much was your scope and where did you get it.
