They sell the relay bypass for that exact unit on ebay

I think* the 3200BT is a slightly older model which didn't require the delay that Pioneer's require now. On the Avic's and AVH's (all I think*), they require a few milliseconds of delay to see a switch to ground, otherwise they will not allow DVD playback.

*when I say think, it's the information I could find while searching around the internet before installing mine.

That pioneer unit is great!! I bought the HU, HD tuner, Reversing camera, relay, ipod, ipod control cable, dash kit, wiring kit all off of ebay. I have bought all the stereo stuff I have used in both our trucks from ebay. I have done and redone the stereo in my f250 5 times so far. It`s a 2002. This is the 2nd HU in the tacoma , someone stoled the first one. I hated that alpine anyway!!

I may be remembering wrong, but...

I think I had a 3200 (not the BT version) in my F150, and had to do the relay bypass to obtain full controls without the parking brake.

I wasn't sure about the 3200's  Creedler stated in post #21 that a straight ground got him bypassed so I wasn't really sure if the relay or switch was needed on that model.:notsure:

Mine was a 3100, the year before. AFAIK, no changes, but could be.

Radio shack sells a normally closed momentary switch that works great. Instead of switching it you just tap the button.

I use the switch method. I had the relay, but found I couldn't use the Auto Eq with it attached. Also, if someone else drives my truck, with the switch, the DVD won't automatically work. (And yeah, I know the auto eq is a dubious reason).

If you buy the wiring from scoshe it will show what colors needs to go with the other. I bought that HU off Amazon and the wiring kit and new dash off amazon. Works great. Love the bypass

I'm pretty sure I've read that with the new HU that won't work anymore.

So are people saying that if you have the 3300bt you only need to ground the green wire and your good to go? I'm waiting on my dash kit to install and want to know my options :). Thanks

I'm trying to install my 4300 DVD w/Bypass and my question is do I need to run a seperate ground for radio or do I just tie in the black ground from the bypass into the radio harness then into the adapter kit?

Or just into radio harness and run seperate ground into adapter kit?
    Hope I'm explaining this correctly......

    Thanks
    Chris
