I'll have to make sure I have the latest Entune software. I did just update it from the website but I'll check with the dealership. Still getting "No Service" but all incoming notifications work normally.

EDIT: I also have 010192. I didn't realize there was a newer version! I'll check with the dealership.

Dealership was going to charge me to do the update. So I decided to just live with the issue, maybe google will do an update to the phone that will solve this issue.

I've just been living with it on my P4XL....at next service I'll see if they can do an Entune update.

Just had a Pixel update but no luck with Entune. It will work sometimes depending on which Bluetooth settings are in place and if I turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on it will come on. However, I've only seen the bars come up for about 5 minutes, then it goes back to No Service. I'll have to check in with the dealership soon to see if they have any newer updates!

I just realized I haven't had this issue in a long time. I'm assuming that one of the Android updates patched this.

I don't know the exact build version I'm on. System says ,

    Android 10, 5mar2020

I think it's definitely a Pixel issue. I was into the dealership recently and they almost charged me to do it, however a guy there told me you can download the latest updates for free on Toyota's website. Turns out I already have the latest updates on mine and my Pixel updated at the beginning of March. I guess I'll have to wait for the next android update to see if that does anything.

I think your right - 5 March 2020 security patch on the Android and I'm back to having problems. This time the screen shows connected and phone will ring, but I can't hear the conversation. Have to hang up and call them back. Guess it's back to no Bluetooth for me.......

So I think I figured out the issue on my Pixel 4 XL and my 2017 Tacoma (JBL). I was actually still having the issue, even with the April security patch. Today, I changed the AVRCP to version 1.6 (1.4 by default) and I turned on "Disable Bluetooth A2DP Hardware Offload". Once that feature is enabled, the phone will want to restart. Do that and when it boots back up, the service bars seem to be holding. I've been driving around for over an hour and I've restarted my vehicle a couple of times as well.
    I hope that helps!

I've had the 4XL for several months now and haven't had any problems with Entune Premium non JBL. I run all the updates on that as soon as they're available. I updated the head to the latest available firmware over a year ago though. I just checked my phone's settings and AVRCP is at 1.4. I never had any problems with my OG Pixel XL either though.

Interesting! My JBL head unit is up to date but while playing around with the settings on my phone, it will only register that the phone has service with AVRCP 1.6.
