The same shit everyone else has.
Has anyone used clear plastidip on rockers/door bottoms to protect them from rock chips, road grime, and other shit?

I spent the better part of the last 2 evenings scrubbing tar, bugs, random shit off the bottoms of the doors/fenders/flares. Id really love to cover everything in some kind of clear bra, but still be able to remove/replace it when it gets discolored

I like that bronze with the white. Looks great. I dipped my grille and rear bumper. Not a chrome fan

Pressure washer and you can spray wd-40 on to help it come off too

I still think that those stock rims re-painted are some of the better looking wheels out there for these trucks. Thinking of saving some money and just painting mine as well, rather than going for new rims entirely.

True! I went round and round. I love my wheels! so I'm gonna save my money, and put it into a lift or a satoshi grill.

Grip and rip. If its put on right (thick enough) it should peel right off. Spray the thinner stubborn stuff with WD40 and itll loosen it right up and itll wash right off.

How did you do your bronze? Flat black base coat and copper metalizer on top? I want to do dip mine bronze but a little lighter than that. Saw a video of a guy doing a base coat of camo brown then copper metalizer which looked good.

Read that I should do a can per wheel, this correct?

I wonder how the bronze would look on a Sand colored truck? Anyone? I've got the black dip for the wheels but now I'm thinking bronze may be the way to go!

Edit just sae I can bronze over the black, sweet!

Can anyone here help me out and tell me why when i try to derp my toyota emblem, it comes out looking rough like it has bubbles in it?

It also looks as though its cracking too when it dries.. ive tried applying light coats, heavy coats, and in between to no avail. I painted my shell myself, but ill be damned if i cant master the dip. All i want to do is the emblem in my grill! Any help is appreciated. If i cant figure this out pretty soon im just gonna hit it with some tried and true spray paint, but id like to dip it if possible

    Thanks in advance,

    rjbiii

Are you putting on heavy coats? Also, was is it cold out when you did it?

I started out by trying to do light coats, but thats mainly when the bubbling started up. Also, it was about 60-70 degrees farenheit so i wouldnt say it was cold by any stretch. When i tried doing heavier coats, thats when it would look cracked as it dried up. I also made sure to wait until the first coat was dry before applying more.. im stumped lol i thought people used the derp bc it was easy! Its giving me a hell of a time haha

Just go to YouTube and type in. Dipping emblems. It's actually so very easy, and if you still have questions fell free to ask. Actually seeing someone do it on video will give you a real good base to start from.
Make sure to shake your cans well. Tape off the surrounding away to protect from overspray. LIGHT COATS, LIGHT COATS, LIGHT COATS
When you do your first pass, leave it alone for 10 or 15 minutes. Now spray another light, quick blast. All coats should be sprayed around 6 to 8 inches away. After about 5 coats you'll have what you're looking for. The dip that's on the body will peel off easily.

If your dip appears to be cracking when/as it dries, I'd say it's being applied too heavy.
