i want to get nitto terra grapplers and they dont have them in a 275 which is what i wanted. i have the rear spring TSB done, so if i get bilstein 5100's up front set at 2.75, will 285/70/17's fit without rubbing?

The billy's go up to 2.5". You can run those 285's (if you have aftermarket wheels with 4.5" backspacing, or wheel spacers on you stock rims) with some trimming.

You'll be nose-high with the tsb rear and the fronts at 2.5 though.

yep, setting them at 2.5 will mean you will still have to trim fender well plastic, and possibly chop the cab mount.

If you want to see a no-trimming-required option, check out my build in my sig. I have the billys at 1.75, tsb rear, and 32" tires (265/65/18)

It's not the width that's the problem its the diameter.

You could do a 32" 285 and likely won't have to trim.

you helped me out a few days ago when i had all these tire questions so im assuming you know a lot about them (at least more than i do)
so with these wheels....(on the chart, 5th one down)
    http://jkwheels.com/product.php?productid=2098&cat=0&page=1
what is the largest tire i can run with billys set at 2.5?

Those are 17x9', -12 offset. That calculates to 4.5" BS, so you are good to go there (like you mentioned earlier).

The biggest common size you can run without ANY trimming is 265/70/17. With some trimming and a possible cab mount chop, you could upsize to 285/70/17.

For the odd sizes in between, like 275's, it's hard to say, because there haven't been many people before you to try it, because the tire size is uncommon.

well im fine with trimming some plastic, thats not a problem. im NOT comfortable with chopping the cab mount because it actually serves an important purpose. if it does rub, its only gonna be with the wheel cranked fully right or left correct?
