Please help diagnose my abandoned TACO in the mountains

    Stick on hood scoop from Autozone.
    That definitely looks like a bent spindle, same exact thing happened to me. Just have to replace the spindle. Yes it is drivable, throwing the spacer on there is a good temporary fix. Just don't drive on it too long to avoid uneven wear on your tires. ;)

    A spidertrax spacer could maybe limp your truck home very slowly?

    A few bolts are different.
    Or at least get the truck to where a normal tow truck could pick you up versus the more expensive off road recovery tow truck

    It might, but what bothers me is you said the further you moved it, the worse the wheel dug into the suspension.
    I'm not 100% sure pre-runner spindles work on a 4x4. Is the bore size the same?

    I'm 99% sure the stock prerunner and 4x4 spindles are identical.

    I know most aftermarkets aren't interchangeable. It would make sense that the stocks would be the same, from a manufacturing standpoint anyway.

    This is a problem if that is bent. I cant tell, weird angle maybe??

    Maybe it looks funny because the bent spindle is putting pressure on the bushing making it look weird to me?

    If no spacer, maybe a stock wheel / tire.

    I got the stock wheel on there now since its smaller. I think I might have a shot with the spacer! Heading up there soon

    I was going to suggest the stock wheel only because you probably have it on the truck--and who cares if you trash the tire? It's reasonably cheap.
