Made it down. Barely... The wheel spacer gave me about 1" of clearance from the tire to the spindle. allowing it to rotate. started it up and it still wouldnt move. my rear tire was like locked and wouldnt move now. looked at it and the rear passenger U bolts that hold my springs to the axle were pushed back about 4 inches causing my axle to push back as well, making the E break line pinch. 2of4 bolts were loose and I didnt hit anything back there. And last night it didnt do this as I tried to move. Weird. Anyway. got the bolts loose, kicked the axle back and i was back in business!

The drive down wasnt bad at all. Just my steering alignment is off and hard to control. But I made it with the hazards on!

    More pics.

    Here she was all broken

Being the only jack I had thats the only place I can jack it up enough to get the tire off.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
It's not that bad. You should replace the bearing and bj's while you're there too.

Considering he took a hit that moved the rear suspension 4 inches........I'd replace them

I would say try to avoid hitting boulders like the one you posted you hit . Not good for the suspension or bottom end!

I am glad to see you finally limped to safety. Off roading does take its toll at times... but I am sure your truck will ready next time...;)

Replace the bearings and seals on the new spindle. Prerunners should be the same. It should not be very hard at all assuming you have basic tools. You remove the brake caliper from the spindle. Then the disc. Then the steering rod, uppper and lower ball joints, and it should come right off. As I mentioned before with the spindles off it is a perfect time to gusset them for additional strength.

As for the back axle. A ubolt flip kit will help here. It flips the ubolts so the nuts are facing up and you have very little to hang up on on the bottom.
