anyone who knows about the speedometer on an 01 taco i read its electric no cable?

so my speedo dosent work.. well if on the interstate and i'm going at least 60 it will start to it goes to 10 or 15 but by then im not sure how fast so i have to slow down cant afford a ticket

can anyone help? where is the sensor located? how much are they?
