    Hello,

    For the 3rd gen Taco:

    1. Can anybody recommend and send links to products that will extend the range of my mirrors?

    I'd like to be able to see the blind spots better, and ideally also see the rear tires to see if I am going to run the curb (without having to adjust the mirror from the driver power switch).

    2. Need a rainproof tonneau cover that folds. The OEM cover was $850 and seemed pricey, so I skipped it.

    3. What about a nice tent to put over the bed, so I can hang out on the bed in the tent and get shelter from the sun?

    Other must have accessories??

    Watch the 3rd Gen Marketplace. You'll find all kinds of items there for sale like OEM tonneau covers, roof top tents ( RTT ), etc. at a fraction of the cost and in pretty good shape.

    Regarding the mirror extensions, google "travel trailer mirrors" and you'll get results like this:

    Additionally, you can follow the Towing thread here for ideas on mirrors:

    As far as must have accessories go, I too am a first time Taco owner patiently waiting for a custom factory order, and here are some of the things that I already have at the house waiting for install:

    1) 5" Nerf Bars - to help my wife get in the truck, prevent parking lot knuckleheads from door dinging my truck;
    2) Weather-tech or Husky floor liners - to keep the cab clean;
    3) Glovebox and center console organizers from Vehicle OCD;
    4) Bed Mat - factory ordered, but you'll find them in the marketplace;
    5) Window visors/vents - to help with the sun glare and use the air conditioner less.

    Outside of that, it's a lot of aesthetic stuff for personalization for your own liking and functionality for your intended use.

    Ask questions here and you'll get good advice from experience folks. Ignore the mindless trolls that are out for fun and don't take things too personal.

    Welcome to TW!
